　　数学的奥妙无处不在，今天老师带着我们去发现线的奥密。

　　The mystery of mathematics is everywhere. Today, our teacher takes us to discover the mystery of lines.

　　线在生活中处处可见，过马路的斑马线是一条条线段；在塔山上看见一盏往远处投射的探照灯是射线；还在火车的铁轨上发现了直线等等。自从教了这一课之后，我明白了线段有两个端点，不能向两个方向无限延伸；射线有一个端点，可以向一个方向无限廷伸；直线没有端点，可以向两个方向无限延伸。

　　Lines can be seen everywhere in life, zebra crossing is a line segment; a distant searchlight is a ray seen on Tashan; a straight line is found on the railway track of the train, etc. Since I taught this lesson, I have learned that a line segment has two endpoints and cannot extend infinitely in two directions; a ray has one endpoint and can extend infinitely in one direction; a line without an endpoint can extend infinitely in two directions.

　　坐在车上我就迫不及待地想把刚学的内容考一考爸爸。可爸爸却说：“直线是可以无限延伸的，火车的铁轨上不是有弯道吗，而且还有起点和终点，怎么也能算是直线呢？”我也不甘示弱地说：“火车的铁轨也有直的呀！”“如果这样的话，那公路岂不是也是直线了。”爸爸也穷追不舍毫不相让。为了这个问题我们各抒已见争论不休。最后我打开了百宝箱，拿出我的数学教科书，书本的图片上铁轨就是直线。爸爸哑然无语，我高兴极了。

Isn't there a curve on the train track, and there are starting and ending points. How can it also be called straight lines?" I also do not want to show weakness to say: "the railway track of the train also has straight!" "If so, isn't the road straight." My father is also eager to give in. We have been arguing over this issue. Finally, I opened the treasure chest and took out my math textbook. The picture of the book shows that the track is a straight line. My father was speechless, and I was so happy.
